Full Job Description
Roadrunner Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring a Daytime Lead Veterinary Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience both as a skilled emergency vet tech as well as previous management experience, or the desire to learn and be a kind, trustworthy leader. The schedule consists of 4 daytime shifts (10 hours each) per week, rotating off of weekends every other month to make sure they have access to the entire daytime technical staff. The lead tech will make the daytime tech, assistant, and custodian schedules, will act as a liaison between the overnight lead tech, the lead CSR, the veterinarians and the rest of the staff. They are responsible for managing the emergency team’s inventory in collaboration with the hospital manager, and coordinate equipment repairs with the lead surgery tech. They will set the example for their team with calm, professional behavior and good judgement.
