Are you a experienced Veterinary Technician or CVT? Join our team at Operation: SNIP! We are a non-profit, HQHVSN and Wellness Clinic. Our mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and the resulting euthanasia of healthy dogs and cats through our affordable services. We are seeking a qualified, independent veterinary professional to join our growing surgical and wellness team. Candidates with dental experience will be given preference. Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatmentSkills:-High Volume Anesthesia Experience- Veterinary technician certification or relevant experience- Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and animal behavior- Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology and procedures- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work well in a team environmentNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
