Full Job Description

Our growing bird and exotic pet Veterinary Clinic is seeking a part time Veterinary Customer Service Extraordinaire. The candidate must be professional in attitude and appearance, have a love for animals, desire and ability to learn, organized and detail oriented, basic math, strong reading, speaking & grammar skills, the ability to lift 50 lbs., computer knowledge (database entry (typing 50 WPM) and Microsoft office), and able to multitask under stress while performing daily duties. Two years or more Veterinary and/or Medical front office along experience is preferred.

Standard office duties will include: client and pet interaction, invoicing, processing payments, medical & patient chart management, scheduling appointments, etc. The lead reception position duties will also include assist overseeing staff & schedules, assist with front office training and enrichment, organize & monitor the flow of the day, accounts receivable, patient reminders, patient chart and appointment compliance, inventory maintenance & some ordering, assist Lead Receptionist, Practice Manager, Veterinarian and Veterinary Technicians with patient treatments and various tasks.

Tentative hours to include: weekdays M (8am-6pm+), W (4pm-8pm+) & F (8am-6pm+) (3-day work week – 4-10-hour shifts tentatively). Candidate must be able to work scheduled hours and be available for shift coverage when other staff members are out. Serious applicants only.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 – $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
