All Creatures Animal Hospital is seeking a new compassionate and dedicated team member!
Our practice is an AAHA accredited hospital and a staple of the Dunwoody community since 1991. We are one of the few animal hospitals in the greater Atlanta area that not only treats dogs and cats, but also exotics, such as reptiles and small mammals!
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Your passion for animals and strong communication skills are key to providing a welcoming environment for both the clients and their pets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Reviewing charges and process payments accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Provide information to pet owners regarding services, medications, and post-treatment care information from the medical team.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Support kennel operations as needed
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism ensuring a positive experience
SKILLS
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Previous customer service experience required – no entry-level positions available
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in managing a register and client payments
- Computer Skills – using Microsoft Office applications, aptitude to learn new computer programs.
- Effectively able to type quickly and accurately.
- Aptitude to learn basic vet medicine terminology and information
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and animals.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Bi-lingual is a HUGE PLUS
SCHEDULE OPTIONS
- Full-Time Positions Available
HOSPITAL OVERVIEW
- Privately Owned, 1 Veterinarian practice
- Hospital is open Monday through Saturday, no Sundays, from 7:15am-6:00pm
- Medical appointments include wellness and illness exams
- Veterinarians perform scheduled and emergency surgeries that present during normal business hours
- We offer dog, cat and exotic boarding. Also medical boarding for any pet
- We offer baths but no grooming at this time
- AAHA accredited since 1991
Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
