Based within Frontline Health Professionals, this position acts as a central bridge between talented professionals and the organisations responsible for supporting children and young people. You will source, vet and place qualified professionals, including children’s social workers, residential support workers, specialist practitioners and managers, into local authorities across England.

The Opportunity

We are seeking someone who brings creativity, energy and a solution-focused mindset. You will need to be highly organised, a natural relationship builder and confident working across internal teams, candidates and external partners, managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle while maintaining the strict regulatory, safeguarding and professional standards expected within children’s services.

Experience from recruitment, children’s services, social care, healthcare, the provider market or another regulated professional environment is ideal, but applications from individuals with strong transferable skills and a genuine desire to build a specialist recruitment career are also warmly welcomed.

Your Key Responsibilities

Candidate Sourcing and Engagement

  • Attract active and passive candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, headhunting and talent pools.
  • Build trusted relationships with children’s social workers, residential support workers, managers and other specialist professionals.
  • Write high-quality job advertisements representing our clients, opportunities and professional standards.
  • Develop sustainable candidate pipelines for current and future workforce requirements.
  • Deliver a professional, responsive candidate experience from initial contact through to placement.

Compliance and Vetting

  • Coordinate robust pre-employment and safeguarding checks in line with UK regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  • Support verification of Enhanced DBS checks, professional registrations and right-to-work documentation.
  • Check Social Work England registration where required for regulated appointments.
  • Obtain and verify professional references, qualifications and employment histories.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential and audit-ready candidate records.
  • Identify and escalate gaps, discrepancies or potential safeguarding concerns.
  • Handle sensitive information professionally and in line with data protection requirements.

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with local authority teams, private children’s home providers and other specialist organisations to understand workforce needs.
  • Understand job specifications, service requirements, safeguarding expectations and turnaround times.
  • Build long-term relationships with hiring managers and operational leaders.
  • Provide timely updates, market insight and practical recruitment solutions.

Recruitment Process Coordination

  • Screen candidates and assess experience, suitability, motivation and professional values.
  • Arrange interviews and coordinate candidate/hiring manager communication.
  • Manage interview feedback and support contract, salary and assignment discussions.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment systems, records and management information.
  • Ensure every placement is safe, compliant and aligned with service needs.

Desirable Experience Recruitment or talent acquisition; children’s services or social care; healthcare or regulated public services; local authority or government recruitment; residential childcare; candidate compliance, vetting or onboarding; working with UK-based clients or candidates. Direct sector experience is valuable but not essential, we are equally interested in people with the right values, professional discipline and ambition.
