Job Purpose
The Manager: Quality Assurance is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining quality assurance, food safety and continuous improvement systems to ensure products consistently meet customer, regulatory and Premier FMCG requirements
Key Responsibilities
- To prepare and implement the Premier FMCG and site QC strategy and QC plans.
- Leading site QA team towards world class quality standards.
- Provide guidance and assistance to the site HOD’s in relevant QC issues.
- Monitor the QC Performance for the site.
- Review, challenge and approve QC plans and procedures.
- Maintain the HACCP, ISO 22000 system.
- Provide adequate management information, based on consolidated reporting.
Experience And Qualifications
To perform effectively in this role, the following minimum qualifications and work experience are required:
- Diploma in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry or similar tertiary qualification.
- 5-7 years’ industry experience in the bakery and/or milling environment including food safety and quality control
- 2-3 years’ experience in a managerial position
