Position: COMMERCIAL MARKETING MANAGER
Our client, a reputable company in the agricultural inputs industry, is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Commercial Marketing Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial professional with a strong background in agribusiness, sales, and marketing to drive business growth and strengthen the company's market presence. The successful candidate will lead strategic marketing initiatives, support a team of agronomists, and bridge the gap between product procurement and the distribution network to maximize revenue and market share.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
• Lead and implement trade marketing initiatives to strengthen distributor and wholesale partnerships.
• Support and guide a sales team of over 10 agronomists to achieve commercial objectives.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify business opportunities and emerging trends.
• Develop product positioning strategies based on customer needs and market intelligence.
• Enhance brand visibility through field demonstrations, agricultural exhibitions, and promotional campaigns.
• Collaborate with procurement and distribution teams to ensure effective product availability and market penetration.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare commercial reports, and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and key stakeholders across the agricultural value chain.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness, Marketing, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of proven experience in commercial management, sales, or marketing within the East African agricultural sector.
• Strong academic performance in Mathematics throughout all educational levels is required.
• Strong understanding of agro-inputs, crop production cycles, and the Tanzanian agricultural market.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and team leadership skills.
• Fluency in both English and Kiswahili (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial reporting tools.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Customer-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn emerging technologies and business solutions.
