The company has launched its first pilot project in Sauraha, Chitwan and is focused on creating opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs, and researchers. Rooted in the principles of inclusive and resilient agri-food systems, Turkey Berry Nepal places family farming and rural communities at the center of its mission. The organization aims to position Nepal as a global leader in Turkey Berry innovation while promoting nutrition security and community empowerment.
Role Description The Co-Founder role at Turkey Berry Nepal is a full-time, hybrid position based in Nepal, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role involves shaping and driving the overall vision and strategy of the organization, including identifying growth opportunities, forging partnerships, and supporting pilot and expansion projects related to Turkey Berry cultivation and products. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing operations with local farming communities, coordinating with stakeholders in health, agriculture, and research, and supporting the development of sustainable business models. The Co-Founder will collaborate on sales and marketing initiatives, contribute to fundraising and investor relations, and represent the organization in meetings, events, and public forums. This position also requires working closely with the founding team to build structures, processes, and a culture aligned with social impact, community empowerment, and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and research abilities to evaluate market opportunities, impact potential, and evidence-based strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to engage diverse stakeholders such as farmers, partners, investors, and community organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and marketing, preferably in agriculture, social enterprise, or health-related products.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a startup or entrepreneurial environment, with a hands-on approach to operations and problem-solving.
  • Experience or strong interest in agriculture, rural development, nutrition, or community
  • empowerment initiatives.
  • Leadership and organizational skills to help build teams, systems, and processes in a growing venture.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid setting in Nepal, including field visits to rural areas and remote coordination with partners.
  • Relevant academic background in business, agriculture, public health, social sciences, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent experience is also valued.
