Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, providing preventative care, and ensuring the well-being of animals in our facility. The Veterinarian will work closely with pet owners, veterinary technicians, and other staff to deliver high-quality medical care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
Develop treatment plans and administer medications, vaccinations, and other therapies as needed.
Perform surgical procedures when necessary, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments and progress.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians to provide optimal patient care and support during procedures.
Stay current on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Provide emergency care as required, including critical care for animals in distress.
Skills
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and husbandry practices.
Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff.
Experience with veterinary critical care protocols for managing urgent cases effectively.
Ability to communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
Compassionate approach towards animal welfare combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with equine medicine is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
