Little Traverse Bay Humane Society (LTBHS) is looking for a heavily motivated individual to join our team in a supervisory role overseeing our boarding, grooming, and daycare departments. All applicants must be passionate about animals and the people who love them, as our daily operations encompass the satisfaction of both.
This job gives the opportuntity to make a difference in the lives of many as these departments are subsidiaries to our animal shelter’s operations and may be elevated to a managerial role for the right applicant.

– Supervising of animal care specialists and groomers, ensuring safe and structured environments for pets and people.
– Providing exceptional customer service for our clients, maintaining professionalism and clear, compassionate communication.
– Monitoring the well-being of all animals in the care of the boarding, grooming, and daycare departments, ensuring timeliness in response to any concerns which may arise.
– Assisting in revision and implementation of standard operating procedures, setting an example for a clean and safe workplace by pitching in and assisting when necessary.
– Facilitating appropriate scheduling of staff and client appointments to ensure quality and safety of care.
– Working collaboratively with LTBHS shelter and veterinary clinic, under the direction of the Senior Director of Operations, to ensure seamless service throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma, or equivalent.
– Experience within an animal shelter, animal care, or veterinary setting preferred.
– Natural leadership qualities, and/or supervisory experience preferred.
– Fear Free and PackPro certification, or willingness to complete within 60 days of employment.
