Overview
Brazos Valley Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is a full-service small animal veterinary hospital and pet resort located on the south side of College Station, off W. D. Fitch and Arrington Road. We are looking for someone who wants to work in both the boarding area as well as up front in reception!
The ideal candidate will have an upbeat and positive attitude, enjoy interacting with both clients and their furry companions, and be patient, dependable, and a great team player. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, has excellent people skills, and takes pride in providing outstanding care and service.
This position is full-time, with a minimum of 30-35 hours per week and rotating weekend availability, typically 2–3 weekends per month. Scheduling can be flexible around class schedules. Previous experience working in a kennel, boarding, daycare, or veterinary setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Client & Administrative Duties
- Greet clients and patients with a welcoming attitude and smile.
- Respond to client emails, text messages, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Check boarding patients in and out.
- Schedule and confirm boarding reservations and other appointments as needed.
- Provide daily updates and communication to boarding pet owners.
- Process payments accurately, handle cash, and assist with end-of-day deposits.
- Scan, attach, and file documents as needed.
- Stock supplies and help maintain an organized work environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front lobby and other assigned areas.
Pet Care & Resort Duties
- Follow individual feeding, medication, and care schedules for boarding pets.
- Walk, play with, and provide daily care and enrichment for boarding and daycare dogs and cats.
- Monitor the behavior, appetite, and overall health of dogs and cats and report any concerns.
- Sanitize and maintain dog runs, cat condos, and other resort areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for all pets.
- Occasionally assist with bathing dogs for the groomer.

Pay: $11.00 – $13.00 per hour
