About this role
This is a front desk role. You are the first and last person a client talks to. You’ll manage the schedule, check clients in and out, handle payments, and keep the lobby running smoothly, even when it’s busy or emotional.
What you’ll do
- Greet clients and pets when they walk in or call
- Schedule appointments and collect patient and client information
- Prepare client forms and records before appointments
- Let the medical team know when patients arrive and pass along important details
- Handle check-out, including charges, follow-up scheduling, and payment
- Complete end of day cash reconciliation
- Update reminders and client records
- Notice when something needs urgent attention and tell the right person
What we’re looking for
- Someone who reads the room. You know when a client needs information and when they just need someone to listen
- Clear, warm communication, whether it’s a first puppy visit or a hard goodbye
- Dependable. You show up, follow through, and don’t leave gaps for others to fill
- Comfort with practice management software, or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology is a plus, but not required. We will train you
