Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency and Referral (BVER) is a specialty animal hospital located in Portland Oregon. Our hospital team includes highly skilled veterinarians specializing in Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and are supported by dedicated technicians and support staff.

Who are we looking for right now?
Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency & Referral is looking for experienced Veterinary Assistants, for our Emergency Department working 4-10-hour shifts.
Essential Job Functions
Triage and obtain patient history from owner
Perform diagnostic tests and procedures
Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM
Provide support and education to pet owners
Maintain accurate medical records
Discharge patients and answer client questions
Fill prescriptions and review with owners
Maintain cleanliness of the hospital
Required Skills
Prior experience in an emergency veterinary hospital, 3+ years of experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in fast paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure
Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
What can BVER offer?
Starting: $20-$27per hour (based on experience) + $5 differential between 10p-6a
