Cleaning Crew/ Kennel Technician Jobs in Denver, CO at Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue
Seeking a team member for up to 30 hours weekly. Flexibility with days, but weekend availability is required. Shift times typically start between 7am-8am, and end between 1-3pm.
Summary: Clean, feed and provide for the safety and enrichment of the cats in shelter.
Job Duties:
Ensuring the shelter is clean, safe & ready for business before noon each day.
Clean and sanitize kennels to maintain the health and comfort of the cats. Duties include but are not limited to cleaning litter boxes, disinfecting all surfaces, laundry, dishes, sweeping & mopping.
Care duties include but are not limited to providing food, water & attention; awareness and focus required to ensure special diet needs are met & monitored.
Monitor & report emerging health concerns, provide care as directed by medical staff and safely handle cats; assistant medical staff as needed.
Assist with coordination of kenneling and movement of cats; reporting capacity concerns.
Assist with maintaining cleaning and food inventories; reporting shortages in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of cat behavior and needs.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to bend, stand, kneel, and move for 4 hour plus.
Ability to work independently; and recognize potential health or safety risks.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
