TruVet Specialty and Emergency Hospital is excited to offer a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced emergency veterinarian to join us as Chief of Emergency. Located in the heart of Sonoma County, California’s beautiful wine country, TruVet is a rapidly growing, privately owned specialty and emergency hospital established in 2020.

About the Role
As Chief of Emergency, you will:
Lead, mentor, and support a team of emergency veterinarians through clinical collaboration, feedback, and case oversight
Maintain a clinical presence to model best practices in emergency and critical care
Oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing development of ER staff
Collaborate with our Surgery and Internal Medicine specialists and hospital leadership to streamline patient flow and interdepartmental communication
Take ownership of departmental scheduling, protocol creation, and process improvement
Represent the ER team in hospital-wide initiatives and leadership forums
Provide guidance in complex cases and client communications when needed
Who You Are
A DVM or equivalent with at least 5 years of emergency medicine experience
A natural leader and mentor with a passion for teaching and team development
Skilled in communication, organization, and clinical problem-solving
Committed to collaboration, innovation, and raising the bar in veterinary care
