Full Job Description
PetHealth UrgentCare provides high-quality veterinary care seven days a week from 10am–7pm, bridging the gap between primary care and emergency services. We’re currently seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do:
Triage patients with confidence and compassion
Support urgent and emergency cases under the direction of our veterinarians
Place IV catheters, collect samples, and administer medications (PO, SQ, IM, IV) with accuracy and care
Assist with anesthesia and surgical procedures, including prep, induction, monitoring, and recovery
Monitor patients under anesthesia for all types of procedures using ECG, SPO2, capnography, and BP monitors
Communicate clearly with clients and team members to ensure seamless care and timely updates
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area
What We’re Looking For:
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in Pennsylvania (or eligible for certification)
At least 2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary practice
Proficiency in anesthesia and surgical assisting for a wide variety of procedures
Strong technical skills in restraint, diagnostics, venipuncture, nursing care, and client communication
Familiarity with veterinary software such as PULSE (preferred, not required)
A calm, professional demeanor with excellent teamwork and communication
Position Details:
Full-time and part-time roles available
Typical shifts: 9:45am – ~7:30pm, based on patient flow
Weekend availability is required
