Job Description:
As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional veterinary care. You will be responsible for assisting our veterinarians in treating and caring for our patients. Your skills and expertise will directly contribute to our mission of providing outstanding medical care in a compassionate and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures.
- Provide nursing care and support for hospitalized animals.
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for analysis (blood, urine, etc.).
- Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and treatment options.
- Perform diagnostic imaging, including radiographs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation.
- Work closely with the clinic team to ensure a smooth workflow and patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited veterinary technology program.
- Valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in North Carolina.
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and patient care.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when necessary.
- Compassion and dedication to animal welfare.
- Critical thinking.
- Emotionally Intelligent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory work.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record-keeping.
