About the position
We are looking for a current Certified Veterinary Technician with at least 3 years of clinical experience who enjoys being an important part of the medical team and takes pride in providing excellent patient and client care.
Our CVTs are encouraged to use their skills and training. Responsibilities include:
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Anesthesia induction, monitoring and troubleshooting
- Dental radiography
- Dental charting and prophylaxis
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Medication and drug calculations
- Cystocentesis
- Vaccine and medication administration
- Ear and skin cytology
- Urinalysis and microscopic sediment evaluation
- Assisting veterinarians with examinations and procedures
- Technician appointments, including vaccinations, nail trims, anal gland expression and injectable medications
- Care and monitoring of hospitalized patients
- Operation of standard veterinary equipment, including IV pumps, multiparameter monitors, dental equipment and Doppler blood pressure monitors
