Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing excellent patient care and exceptional client service.
Schedule
- 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM shifts
- Must have flexible availability
- Full-time position
- Weekend availability may be required
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Perform blood draws and place IV catheters
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
- Monitor hospitalized and surgical patients
- Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Prepare patients and surgical suites for procedures
- Perform and assist with digital radiographs
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats
- Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, and aftercare
- Maintain clean and organized treatment, surgery, and patient areas
- Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, receptionists, and clients
- Follow all hospital safety, sanitation, and patient-care protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred
- Veterinary technician experience preferred
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Experience with anesthesia and surgical monitoring
- Comfortable with venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, professional, and able to multitask
- Must be comfortable working 12-hour shifts
- Must have a genuine passion for animal care
