About This Role
Jamub Group—a diversified Nigerian conglomerate operating across Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC), real estate, fintech, oil & gas, and agribusiness—is recruiting a CCTV Monitoring Officer for its central surveillance operations in Abuja, FCT.
Reporting to the Head of ICT, this control room security position maintains live camera feed oversight across Jamub Group’s residential estates, construction sites, industrial facilities, and office complexes to prevent unauthorized access, theft, and safety breaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Live Surveillance & Incident Detection: Continuously monitor live CCTV feeds across multi-site properties to detect suspicious activities, safety violations, unauthorized entry, and asset theft.
- Incident Escalation & Verification: Immediately escalate security breaches and technical anomalies to the Head of ICT and on-site physical security officers for real-time response.
- Control Room Logs & Reporting: Maintain shift logs, complete daily surveillance registers, and generate detailed incident reports specifying timestamps, camera IDs, event descriptions, and corrective actions taken.
- System Uptime & Downtime Audits: Perform routine health checks on IP cameras, DVR/NVR recorders, network storage, and monitors; promptly report hardware/software faults to the ICT team.
- Footage Retrieval & Compliance: Extract and archive video evidence for internal investigations, audits, and legal/disciplinary proceedings under strict chain-of-custody protocols and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Academic Background: OND or HND in Criminology, Security Studies, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Technical Familiarity: Practical experience with DVR/NVR surveillance platforms, IP camera configurations, video management software (VMS), and control room operating hardware.
- Core Competencies: Real-time threat detection, incident reporting, strict confidentiality, attention to detail, crisis communication, and shift handover documentation.
