Canine Fitness Coach Jobs in Palmetto, FL at Dogs Inc
The Canine Fitness Coach will conduct fitness exercises and hands-on therapy to increase stamina, mobility, and improve overall physical and mental wellbeing of our dogs in training.
Responsibilities:
Develop and follow customized fitness plans for assigned dogs based on their individual need utilizing the Canine Fitness Program SOPs as your guide.
Work hands on with the dogs utilizing physiotherapy, aquatic therapy, massage therapy and other physical exercises.
Maintain clear detailed records of each dogs progress through their Fitness plan and each establishment benchmark.
Responsible for the integrity and cleanliness of the Fitness equipment, building, and grounds.
Transportation of dogs by van, golf cart, or foot.
Adhere and promote positive reinforcement training culture, using training cues and dog handling techniques in accordance with Dogs Inc guidelines and philosophies.
Train, coach, and work side-by-side with volunteers trained to assist in each fitness session.
Demonstrate high levels of coordination, collaboration and teamwork with fellow Coaches, Team Leadership, Volunteers, Instructors and other department stakeholders.
Provide exceptional experiences to all campus visitors. Including but not limited to public and VIP tour demonstrations.
Have the knowledge and understanding of the schools mission and the ability to explain and market that mission to the general public.

Maintain a safe working environment by addressing or reporting maintenance concerns.
Qualifications:
3+ years of canine related experience.
BS/BA in animal behavior/science, Certified Veterinary Technician, or canine training certification preferred.
Canine Fitness or Rehabilitation certification, or completion of Canine Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification within 1st year of employment with a commitment to employment in this position for 1 year post completion.
BCL certification within 1st 6 months of employment.
