Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Canine Companion to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, particularly dogs. This role involves providing exceptional care and companionship to dogs, ensuring their well-being, and supporting their training and socialization needs. Duties
Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, grooming, and exercise.
Assist in training sessions, reinforcing positive behaviors and commands.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for all canine companions.
Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
Engage with dogs through playtime and socialization activities.
Perform animal restraint when necessary for grooming or veterinary procedures.
Maintain accurate records of each dog’s care routine and any behavioral observations.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s needs and progress.
Qualifications
Experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is a plus.
Ability to handle animals safely and effectively, demonstrating proper animal restraint techniques.
Capability to lift heavy objects as required for dog handling and care tasks.
Familiarity with veterinary practices or animal handling techniques is beneficial.
Previous experience in dog training or pet care is highly desirable.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
