We are currently seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Kennel Technician to join our dedicated animal care team. This role is critical in ensuring the well-being, safety, and happiness of the dogs in our facility.
Position Overview:
As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day care of our animals, maintaining a clean and healthy environment, and supporting pet owners with basic care information. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and committed to providing the highest standard of care for our furry guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, exercise, and basic grooming.
Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kennel spaces and common areas.
Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any signs of illness or injury to the supervisor or veterinary team.
Safely handle animals during cleaning, feeding, playtime, or medical routines.
Assist with administrative tasks such as updating care records and scheduling appointments.
Interact with pet owners professionally, answering questions and providing basic care advice.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in animal care, pet sitting, grooming, or a veterinary setting preferred.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and handling large or energetic dogs.
Basic knowledge of dog behavior or training is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Genuine love for animals and a sense of responsibility for their welfare.
