Full Job Description
Position Summary
The Canine Care Attendant is responsible for daily cleaning of kennels and facility grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Daily cleaning of dogs’ kennels, walkways, and all areas of kennel building using hose and mop as appropriate
Laundry, dishes, poop scoop
Trash collection and removal
Maintain cleanliness of play yards and grounds
General facility projects and janitorial duties
Report to Operations Manager or Facilities Manager any concerns preventing a safe work environment
Other tasks as requested
Job Qualifications
Education and Experience:
At the discretion of the CEO
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic dog behavior and training principles.
Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills.
Able to work a flexible schedule.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and have an insurable driving record.
Working Conditions:
Physically demanding work, walking and standing all day.
Office and animal kennel environment.
Potential exposure to high noise levels, behaviorally challenged animals and zoonotic diseases.
Exposure to all weather conditions.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 – $13.50 per hour
