Lead the Year 10–11 IGCSE programme across all examined subjects at ISU. The Coordinator owns the IGCSE timetable, mock-exam cycle, subject-lead line management and CIE registration workflow.
Responsibilities
- Own the Y10–Y11 academic calendar, exam-entry deadlines and CIE candidate registrations.
- Line-manage 14 subject leads on IGCSE delivery and coordinate weekly subject-area meetings.
- Quality-assure mock-exam papers and analyse cohort outcomes against the previous three years.
- Counsel students and parents on subject combinations and A-Level / IB transitions.
- Lead the IGCSE strand of the annual self-evaluation and external accreditation review.
Requirements
- Postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
- Five+ years teaching a Cambridge IGCSE subject, with at least two as subject lead or year-group lead.
- Demonstrable record of cohort-level outcomes at A* / A.
- Working understanding of the IB Diploma transition pathway from IGCSE.
Nice to have
- CIE examiner or moderator experience.
- A-Level coordination experience in addition to IGCSE.
