Position: Calgary Animal Care Role at AARCS

In this role, you will lead shifts under the Shelter Supervisor’s guidance and oversee the care of various animal species. Your ability to maintain a clean and efficient environment while delivering excellent customer service is paramount. Adaptability and a flexible schedule are essential, as this position requires working evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate and lead shifts among shelter staff
• Clean, feed, and care for shelter animals daily
• Track animal health and report concerns to veterinary staff
• Document care activities accurately
• Ensure supplies are stocked and organized
Requirements:
• Passion for animal welfare and care
• Experience handling a variety of animals
• Confident with technology for record-keeping
• Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction
• Must be available to work Sunday through Thursday
