Position Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the boarding team while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Ensure exceptional care and comfort for all boarding dogs and cats.
- Monitor feeding schedules, medication administration, and daily health observations.
- Maintain accurate medical and boarding records using Cornerstone Veterinary Software (preferred).
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding their pets' care and any concerns.
- Ensure all boarding areas are clean, sanitized, organized, and compliant with hospital protocols.
- Coordinate boarding reservations, check-ins, and check-outs.
- Work closely with veterinarians and technicians to identify and address medical concerns promptly.
- Train new team members and promote consistency in patient care and customer service.
- Maintain inventory and supplies for the boarding department.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional animal care or boarding experience preferred.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desired.
- Cornerstone Veterinary Software experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
- Dependable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties associated with animal care.
