Pocono Biking is looking for guides to escort bikers on inn to inn, multiday bike tours. All multiday tours have two guides that split responsibilities throughout the trips. Trips range from four to six days depending on location. Guides are responsible for:
Making connections, communicating, and guiding groups of 8-14 bikers
Biking with guests and offering moral support, historical info, and guidance
Repairing and cleaning guest bikes and conducting trailside bike maintenance
Driving the support van/trailer – guides split time between driving and biking
Organizing and staging water/snack breaks
Transporting luggage and working with lodging partners to ensure guest needs are addressed
Responding quickly and decisively to challenging situations while displaying lightheartedness and maintaining control
Qualifications
Bike Tour Guides must be willing to be away from home for 4-6 days depending on the trip and have a clean driving record. In addition, all guides must:
Be safety focused
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with various personality types
Care about details and be organized
Have basic bike mechanical skills – additional bike mechanic skills a plus but not required
Offer award-winning customer service in all weather conditions
Be able to pass a PA DOT physical in order to drive the support van/trailer
Be capable of biking up to 50 miles a day
