About the Practice
We are a locally owned, woman-owned small animal practice with over 80 years of community service. We are AAHA accredited for more than 65 years and provide wellness care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, radiology, laboratory services, abdominal and cardiac ultrasound, laser therapy, regenerative medicine, chronic pain management, and potential exotic services. We mentor new graduates and offer future partnership/ownership opportunities.
Services and Opportunities
Associate veterinarians will work a full four‑doctor roster with opportunities to serve exotic patients. We aim for low‑stress handling, comprehensive diagnostics, and collaborative client relationships. Team members enjoy individualized mentoring and a supportive work environment.

Location
Elkhart, Indiana – a mid‑size town with a low cost of living (10% below the national average) and close to major metropolitan areas. The community offers outdoor activities, water sports, professional sports venues, cultural events, and a strong manufacturing base.
Compensation & Benefits
Guaranteed salary $130,000 with production bonus. Many earn between $130,000 and $145,000. Compensation packages are negotiable and may include salaries, commissions, or a blend. Additional benefits include:

- Continuing education allowances
- Memberships in AVMA, IVMA, AAHA, VIN
- State license, DEA, PLIT, and additional benefits valued $10–15K
Requirements
- Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree
- Indiana license or eligibility to achieve licensure in Indiana
- Full‑time availability (≈35–38 hours per week)
- Preferred workweek: 4‑4 ½ day schedule with Saturdays off per 3‑doctor or 4‑doctor rotation
- 3‑doctor schedule: 2 out of 3 Saturdays off, one 1½‑hour lunch break, three‑day weekend every three weeks
- 4‑doctor schedule: 3 of 4 Saturdays off, one 1½‑hour lunch break, four‑day weekend once monthly
- Positive attitude, team orientation, focus on learning, adaptability, and professionalism
