Overview

Associate Veterinarian – Summerville, SC Jobs in Summerville, SC at Atlas Consultancy Group Ltd

We’re partnering with a growing, veterinarian-led group of small animal hospitals to recruit both a full-time and part-time Associate Veterinarian for one of their modern, purpose-built practices just outside of Charleston, SC.

Unlike many larger organisations, this independently owned group is run by experienced veterinary professionals rather than private equity. Their philosophy is simple: give veterinarians complete clinical autonomy, surround them with exceptional support, and allow them to practise medicine the way they believe is best.

This opportunity is with a thriving, recently built general practice that has experienced significant growth and is now expanding its clinical team. This is a genuine growth position, giving the successful veterinarian the opportunity to help shape the future of the hospital alongside an experienced Medical Director.

The practice prides itself on creating an environment where doctors are trusted to make clinical decisions without production targets, corporate treatment protocols or restrictive formularies. Operational support, HR, payroll and administrative functions are handled centrally, allowing veterinarians to focus entirely on patient care.

The hospital is fully equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, modern surgical facilities, cloud-based medical records and AI-assisted clinical note technology to reduce administrative time.

Scheduling is built around the veterinary team rather than rigid corporate structures. As the hospital continues to grow, appointment lengths, surgery allocation and working patterns are discussed collaboratively to suit both the clinicians and the practice.

The team also benefits from a collaborative profit-sharing model, where every employee shares in the hospital’s success. Rather than rewarding individual production, the emphasis is on teamwork, patient care and supporting one another.

In addition, each hospital is provided with a monthly patient advocacy fund that allows veterinarians to assist clients facing financial hardship, ensuring pets receive appropriate treatment without compromising medical standards.
