About Us
Bay Valley Animal Hospital is looking for a veterinarian to join our privately owned, multi-doctor small animal practice in Bay City, Michigan.
We’ve been caring for pets in our community for more than 50 years, and while veterinary medicine has changed a lot during that time, the way we want people to feel when they walk through our doors hasn’t. We believe in good medicine, honest communication, strong relationships with our clients, and treating both pets and people with kindness and respect.
Our doctors work closely with an experienced team of licensed veterinary technicians, assistants, and CSRs. We have a well-equipped hospital with an extensive in-house laboratory, digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, and the tools needed to work up and manage a wide variety of cases.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys practicing quality medicine but also wants to be part of a team that helps one another, communicates well, and understands that having a life outside of work matters too.
Whether you’re an experienced veterinarian or earlier in your career and looking for mentorship, we’d love to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited university
- Licensed to practice in Michigan or eligible for Michigan licensure
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in building relationships with clients
- Someone who works well with technicians, assistants, CSRs, and fellow doctors
- A willingness to learn, ask questions, share knowledge, and continue growing professionally
- A kind, dependable, and team-oriented approach to veterinary medicine
Skills We Value
Experience in all of these areas is certainly welcome, but we don’t expect every candidate to walk in knowing everything.
- Preventative and wellness care
- Internal medicine and diagnostic workups
- Routine soft-tissue surgery, including spays, neuters, and mass removals
- Dentistry and dental radiography
- Digital radiography and laboratory interpretation

Pay: $60,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
