Position Overview
The Associate Veterinarian plays a significant role in the medical operations of the veterinary practice. Associate Veterinarians provide compassionate care to animal patients and deliver exceptional communication and service to animal owners. They are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional integrity and to deliver optimal medical care, including diagnostics, prescribing medications, performing treatments and therapies, completing surgical procedures, and administering dentistry when applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Compassionate care of animal patients
- Diagnostics and treatment planning
- Prescription of medications
- Administration of treatments and therapies
- Completion of surgical procedures and dentistry when applicable
- Leadership of the practice and development of support staff to deliver excellent client service
- Execution of duties that do not require Veterinarian licensure
