About the Opportunity
Willow Glen Pet Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team in our state-of-the-art 4,500 sq. ft. facility, built in March 2023.
As a three-doctor general practice hospital serving cats and dogs, we have spent over ten years building strong client relationships and a trusted reputation in the community. We are committed to practicing high-quality medicine, delivering exceptional client service, and maintaining a collaborative, respectful workplace where doctors and staff work as one unified team.

Schedule & Commitment
- 4 days per week
- 10-hour shifts
- Required day: Friday
- No afterhours or weekends
Compensation
- Base Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 annually
- Production Bonus: 22% production bonus opportunity
- Compensation is flexible and commensurate with experience, schedule, and overall fit

What You’ll Do
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will:
- Perform comprehensive physical exams and diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries
- Recommend, perform, and interpret diagnostics including laboratory testing, radiographs, ultrasound, and other diagnostic tools
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient condition and client circumstances
- Prescribe, administer, and monitor medications, vaccines, anesthesia, pain management, and post-treatment recovery
- Perform general practice procedures and surgeries consistent with your training and experience
- Educate clients on preventive care, treatment options, nutrition, and ongoing patient care
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment recommendations, prognoses, and costs clearly and compassionately
- Support clients with empathy during end-of-life care discussions and euthanasia decisions
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
- Collaborate with doctors, RVTs, assistants, client service staff, and hospital leadership to support patient care and workflow
- Comply with all hospital safety standards, OSHA requirements, infection control procedures, and controlled substance protocols
What We’re Looking For
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, American College of Veterinary Medicine (Internal Medicine) or American College of Emergency and Critical Care Board Certification, or Equivalent experience
- Active California Veterinary License in good standing
- DEA license preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
- General practice medicine and surgery experience strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and surgical decision-making skills
- Strong communication and client relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and collaborative environment
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and move throughout the hospital for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift, carry, position, and restrain dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
- Must be able to lift up to 40–50 pounds at times
- Ability to perform repetitive clinical tasks and patient handling safely
- Ability to work in areas with animal dander, hair, bodily fluids, cleaning agents, and moderate to high noise levels
