A partner hospital in Islamorada, FL, is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their dynamic and dedicated team. This AAHA-accredited hospital is fully equipped with digital full-body radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, surgical laser, and cold/therapy laser, providing excellent support for high-quality patient care. Located in the beautiful Florida Keys, between Key Largo and Marathon, this is a great opportunity for a veterinarian to work in a thriving community and a beautiful location.
Key
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Patient Care:
Perform physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and surgeries, including anesthesia management.
Client Education:
Communicate effectively with clients about treatment options, diagnostic results, and preventive care.
Collaborate with Team:
Work alongside other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Support Staff Development:
Mentor and encourage the growth of support staff through the Level Up training program.
Manage Varying Caseloads:
Provide care for a range of cases, from routine checkups to more complex surgical procedures and treatments.
Qualifications:
DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program).
Active license in good standing to practice in the state of Florida (or ability to obtain).
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on compassionate client interactions.
A collaborative mindset with a dedication to teamwork.
