Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and equipment.
Provide compassionate care to animals, including handling, restraint, and comfort during treatments.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
Perform routine tasks such as feeding, bathing, and grooming animals as needed.
Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team promptly.
Assist with laboratory tests, including collecting samples for analysis.
Educate pet owners on proper care techniques, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Requirements
Previous experience in pet care or as a Veterinary Technician is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal husbandry practices is highly desirable.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and veterinary critical care procedures is an asset.
Strong skills in animal handling, dog handling, and animal restraint are essential for this role.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
