Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vet Tech to assist our Lead tech in surgery prep. HQHVSN experience is a plus . You will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in spay and neuter. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Hiring at this time for Mondays and Wednesdays. Pay based on experience. We are searching for 2 days a week to start and may 3 or 4 days. To be determined. Must have experience!!!!.. please do not apply if you do not have tech experience of at least two years or equivalent !!!!
Duties
- Prepare animals for the veterinarian Before and during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Initiate and monitor animal patients during anesthesia and recovery.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Provide education to pet owners on proper animal care and husbandry practices.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments using aseptic techniques.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary clinic.
- Strong understanding of animal husbandry practices to ensure the well-being of pets.
- Experience in veterinary critical care settings is highly desirable.
- Competency in laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis.
- Strong dog and cat handling skills to ensure safe interactions with animals.

Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
