Squaw Valley Golf Course is looking for an energetic, self-starter to serve as Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Opened in 1992, Squaw Valley Golf Course is a 36-hole, top-rated golf course sitting on 400+ acres at the northern tip of the Texas Hill Country. Located 45 miles southwest of the DFW Metroplex, the two golf courses are an enterprise fund owned by Somervell County. The property boasts a 10-acre driving range and a three green practice area. The outer areas are entirely naturalized.
The courses utilize surface water and effluent for irrigation.
General Responsibilities include:
Assist the superintendent with agronomic planning and implementation
Crew supervision, training, and scheduling
Pesticide application and irrigation control
Record keeping, purchasing, and inventory control
Requirements:
2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass Management or related field
Must have or ability to obtain a pesticide license within 6 months
Understanding the game and the ability to play is a plus
Experience: Preferred but not limiting
Salary: $58,000+ DOE
