Role Description

The ASM will manage sales operations in the Volta Region, leading a team of Sales Representatives to achieve day-old chick (DOC) sales targets. The role demands professionalism, independence, frequent field travel, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Job Responsibilities

A. Team Development & Management

– Recruit, onboard, and train Sales Representatives, Village Ambassadors (VAs), and Agents.

– Supervise and coach teams to meet DOC sales targets and KPIs.

– Conduct regular meetings to address challenges and share best practices.

– Replace underperforming team members as needed.

– Travel extensively to support field operations and expand market reach.

B. Sales Planning & Execution

– Develop daily plans to achieve DOC sales growth.

– Collaborate with Sales Managers to design strategies.

– Ensure adequate supply of month-old birds in districts.

– Conduct market analysis and adjust tactics (pricing, product, marketing).

– Forecast sales to guide production planning.

C. Technical Follow-Up

– Train teams on poultry management: brooding, vaccination, feed management, biosecurity, and disease treatment.

– Monitor disease prevalence and report to management.

– Provide technical support to clients.

D. Monitoring & Evaluation**

– Track weekly/monthly DOC orders and VA/Agent performance.

– Resolve complaints from Agents and smallholders.

E. External Relations

– Engage local governments and stakeholders in new territories.

– Represent Premier Poultry at sector meetings.

– Report regulatory changes affecting operations.

Qualifications

No prior experience required (recent graduates encouraged to apply).

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree/Higher Diploma in Animal Production, Animal Health, Agro Economics, Veterinary Science, or related fields.
