Position: Arborist with CAD and Environmental Focus
Shape sustainable communities in Eastern Ontario as an Arborist with WSP. Utilize your skills in tree assessments, preservation planning, and municipal by-law compliance to guide impactful environmental projects.
As part of WSP’s multidisciplinary team, you will support tree protection initiatives and conduct comprehensive arboriculture studies. The role blends office and fieldwork after over six years of experience in arboriculture or urban forestry. Your expertise will ensure compliance with local regulations and enhance community green spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough tree assessments and investigations
• Lead compliance with municipal tree by-laws
• Develop Tree Preservation Plans using CAD tools
• Assess tree impacts from proposed developments
• Prepare technical documentation and reports
Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Studies or a related field
• 6+ years in arboriculture consulting
• ISA Certified Arborist designation required
• Strong project management and evaluation skills
• Ability to travel for fieldwork within Ontario
