Position: Â Aquarist (Casual, $18/hr)
Job Responsibilities:
Perform animal husbandry and complete tasks for assigned animals to the highest standard
Prepare and deliver daily diets and nutritional requirements to animals under care
Assist in animal medical procedures and transfer of animals between locations
Maintain cleanliness of exhibits
Perform general maintenance of aquariums and exhibits, repairtools and equipment
Observation and data recording of animal behavior
Daily siphoning of debris /waste and cleaning of acrylic panels in exhibits
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Marine Science, Aquaculture, Biological or Life Sciences
Confident to work in an aquatic environment
Passionate about working with animals
Passion for environmentalsustainabilityand conservation
Able to perform shift work, including weekends and public holidays
