Position: Veterinary Assistant
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our passionate team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their skills in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.
Who You Are:
You are a motivated team player who thrives in a dynamic environment. You have a genuine passion for animals and delivering excellent care. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task are key to your success. While experience is a plus, we are more than happy to train the right candidate who demonstrates a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
Support hospitalized and surgical patients
Prepare prescriptions and manage inventory
Perform basic lab tests and process samples for outside laboratories
Communicate with clients professionally in person and over the phone
Provide support during radiographs and surgeries
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a veterinary setting (not required)
Familiarity with VIA Practice Management Software is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs, and be on your feet for extended periods
Work Schedule & Compensation:
This is a flexible position that may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed. Compensation is based on experience and skill level.
