Overview
Silvercreek Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at our busy 2 doctor veterinary clinic. Candidate should be enthusiastic, team player, punctual, compassionate, possess good people skills, able to multi-task and be willing to handle patient samples. The primary responsibility will be as an assistant with some cross training to answer phones. No experience required, but candidates need to have a willingness to learn. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, no weekends and no late hours.
Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by holding animals and preparing necessary equipment.
Perform routine tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing samples for laboratory testing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinic, including kennels, examination rooms, and surgical areas.
Provide front desk support, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
