Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare and possess the skills necessary to provide exceptional care for a variety of animals. This role involves ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of animals in our care, while also maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
Maintain cleanliness of animal enclosures and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Assist with animal handling during examinations or procedures.
Document animal care activities accurately in records.
Engage with the public to educate them about proper pet care and responsible ownership.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology.
Experience in pet care or as a veterinary assistant is highly desirable.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to animal care.
Proficient in animal handling techniques, particularly with dogs.
Experience in medication administration and understanding of animal husbandry practices.
