Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital is seeking Animal Care Specialists to join our team. Our Animal Care Specialists are important liaisons for creating comfortable accommodations by nurturing human-pet relationships while in care of our lodging facility. Animal Care Specialists should enjoy human and pet interaction, be self-motivated to complete daily pet care tasks, practice flexibility with workflow development, and possess the independent drive for growth.
Requirements
- Competently speak and write the English language
- Ability to practice good money handling skills
- Efficiently perform clerical, cleaning, and personalized pet care with safe restraint practices
- Physically able to stand, move, and bend for prolong periods of time
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
- Embrace commitment to follow Safety Requirements
- Actively promote a positive, professional presence with staff, clients, and guests
Responsibilities
- Professionally connect with clients in person, via telephone, and software system
- Confidently promote lodging facility benefits and amenities, provide tours
- Schedule reservations and prepare charts with necessary information
- Accurately monitor and maintain lodging report records
- Process invoices and collect payments, followed by daily reconciliation
- Practice proper sanitization and cleaning routines
- Follow individual detailed feeding, exercise, bathing, and care instructions
- Actively assist in daily evaluation of pets for optimal healthcare
- Participate in monthly staff meetings and continued education when offered to better the services and products of the hospital
- Professionally deescalate sensitive situations and show empathy when appropriate
- Maintain inventory and housekeeping duties of designated zone and assist with needed duties of the hospital
