We are a mission-driven nonprofit animal shelter dedicated to rescuing and rehoming pets in need. We’re looking for a compassionate, hardworking Animal Care Attendant to join our team and help provide a clean, safe, and loving environment for the animals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean kennels, cages, and living areas to maintain a sanitary shelter environment
Feed and water animals according to established protocols
Monitor animals for signs of illness, stress, or behavior changes and report to veterinary or supervisory staff
Provide daily enrichment, exercise, and affection to support animal well-being
Wash dishes, do laundry, and maintain general shelter cleanliness
Support adoptions, intake procedures, or other shelter operations as needed
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A love for animals and commitment to humane care
Previous experience in animal care, kennel work, or customer service (preferred but not required)
Comfort handling dogs, cats, and small animals of varying temperaments
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
Ability to lift 40+ lbs, work on your feet, and perform physical tasks.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Pay: $12.50 – $14.50 per hour
