Role Description
The Angel Investor at SOLIVEST MULTICOOP is a remote role focused on providing capital and strategic guidance to early-stage and growth-focused ventures within the cooperative’s investment portfolio. On a day-to-day basis, the Angel Investor reviews investment proposals, evaluates business models and financial projections, and participates in due diligence for companies across real estate, agriculture, and other high-growth sectors. The role involves collaborating with SOLIVEST’s team to shape investment theses, diversify holdings, and support portfolio companies with mentorship, networking, and market insights.
The Angel Investor also monitors investment performance, provides ongoing feedback to founders, and helps identify new opportunities aligned with SOLIVEST’s mission of expanding access to high-yield investments. This position offers flexibility, allowing the investor to engage remotely with entrepreneurs and stakeholders across different African markets.
Qualifications
- Strong investment analysis skills, including experience reviewing business plans, financial statements, and market research for early-stage or growth ventures.
- Background in angel investing, venture capital, private equity, or related fields, with an understanding of risk management and portfolio diversification.
- Knowledge of African markets and high-potential sectors such as real estate, agriculture, or agribusiness; experience investing in emerging markets is highly beneficial.
- Ability to provide strategic guidance and mentorship to founders, including support with go-to-market strategies, governance, and scaling operations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the capacity to work remotely across time zones and engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to impact-focused investing, financial inclusion, and long-term value creation for both investors and communities.
- Relevant academic background in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
