Veterinary Dentistry Specialists is currently seeking a full-time anesthesiologist to join our new hospital in Madison, New Jersey. This is a unique opportunity to practice high-level specialty medicine, with state-of-the-art equipment, in a friendly environment. The work week is 4 days, with no weekends or holidays, and minimal on-call responsibilities. Several senior anesthesiologists in the VDS network are readily available for support and collaboration.
Providing and managing a full anesthesia service to complement the dental surgeons, including both perioperative and postoperative care.
Direct involvement in managing cases and providing support to anesthesia-focused technical staff.
Reviewing all medical records for each case to determine suitability for anesthesia, planning additional diagnostics, and formulating a complete anesthetic plan.
Meeting clients to discuss anesthetic risks directly, fostering open discussions about risks, our standards of care, and building relationships with clients.
Managing the surgical schedule, working closely with CSR staff to train/educate them on procedures, identifying higher-risk patients, and assisting with case pairings.
Cultivating a culture that values technicians as integral team members and collaborating with dentists to ensure high-quality patient care.
Recruiting and training anesthesia technicians to VDS standards.
Building relationships with referring veterinarians and providing consultations on cases and training for their staff.
Participating in VDS lecture series and CE events.

Applicants should be a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead are absolute requirements.
