YOUR DAILY ROLE
THE ROLE: Are you looking for a seasonal employment opportunity that will challenge you? Do you have a passion for the Agricultural industry and would like to enhance your knowledge of vegetable production? Nortera is an established industry leader in the processing, packaging, and distribution of canned and frozen vegetable products worldwide, committed to quality, safety, and service excellence.
These roles will work directly with the Agriculture department at our facilities in Ingersoll and Strathroy, primarily from May 2025 through September 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Vegetable field scouting and monitoring
Field and pre-harvest assessments
Assist with statistical comparison of results, including data entry and use of Agriculture Systems
Identification and monitoring of weeds, insects, and disease
YOUR PROFILE
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficient in the use of technology
Must possess a G license and a clean driving abstract
Enrolled in post-secondary education with an Agricultural focus
Able to work well independently
Ability to work weekends and extended hours as required
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to work in all weather conditions with lifting and walking
Fast-paced, dynamic environment suitable for a high-energy individual
Willing to travel for field scouting, depending on base location
